Columbus, Ohio – July 31, 2025 – Pavaka Wound Care, LLC, an innovative biotechnology company advancing electroceutical solutions for wound management, is pleased to announce its successful completion of Rev1 Ventures' Concept to Customer program, where it was voted the participant favorite presentation by peers and mentors. Building on this achievement, Pavaka has been invited and accepted into Rev1's Customer to Capital Accelerator program, set to commence in August 2025, further accelerating the commercialization of its Electroceutical Advanced Wound Dressing (EAWD)—a drug-free technology targeting multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria and biofilms in chronic and acute wounds.
Validated through a $2.2M DoD-funded clinical trial with 112 patients and licensed from The Ohio State University, EAWD employs a tunable electric field to disrupt infections and promote healing, addressing a critical gap in wound care amid rising antimicrobial resistance challenges affecting millions worldwide.
"This recognition from the Rev1 Concept to Customer program and our acceptance into the Customer to Capital Accelerator highlights the strong momentum behind Pavaka's mission to transform wound care," said Brent Toto, CEO and co-founder of Pavaka Wound Care. "These milestones validate our innovative approach and provide invaluable resources to refine our go-to-market strategy, secure reimbursement, and scale manufacturing. We are eager to engage strategic investors as we advance toward FDA clearance and market launch."
The Concept to Customer program equipped Pavaka with essential tools for customer validation and business planning, while the upcoming accelerator will focus on capital readiness and growth. These accomplishments underscore Pavaka's potential to deliver impactful biotech solutions, with platform applications extending to bacterial, fungal, and viral conditions.
Pavaka Wound Care welcomes discussions with forward-looking investors and partners interested in supporting this promising venture, driving commercialization and generating meaningful advancements in healthcare.
